| Committee Meetings |
| Committee meetings are held on the first Wednesday in the month. |
| General Meetings |
| Meetings take place in the Church (from January 2010) and, due to the larger capacity of the Church, the numbers allowed to attend will now be increased to 200, limited by fire regulations. |

| This group has been terminated. |
| Newsletter |
In order for all members to know what is happening
in Whitley Bay U3A meetings the committee would like all members to receive
a copy of the monthly Newsletter. This can be achieved in three ways:
|
| Safety |
| In the event of an emergency, members should leave the Church by either door and assemble in the car park. They are asked to remain there until all have been checked against the register of attendance. |
| Services |
| An updated list of Trades & Professions recommended by members is available at the General Meeting. A copy is displayed on the Notice Board. |
| Subscriptions |
| Subscriptions for June 2011 to May 2012 remain unchanged at £10. These became due in June and could be renewed not later than the August General Meeting. Any membership not renewed by 31st August was deemed to have lapsed. |
| Suggestions and feedback |
| Monthly committee meetings are held to discuss and
plan all of the activities of Whitley Bay U3A. If you have a suggestion
or an opinion that you would like the committee to discuss this can be done
informally by contacting any committee member. If you would like to submit
a formal agenda item please contact the Business Secretary. All views, both
formal and informal will be welcomed. A suggestions box is also available
but please leave your name for contact. |
| Web site |
| If you have Skype active on
your computer you may notice that telephone numbers in a web page are
replaced by Skype buttons - (depends on your Skype setup options).
For this reason the contact number in this web site has been put in
inverted commas so that Skype does not recognise it as a telephone
number. Whitley Bay U3A web site is now published as developed using Microsoft Expression Web 3 software. The web site is designed to be compatible with W3C standards for XHTML 1.0. (Except the Home page which uses proprietary code to play the sound of the sea.) This means that the website should be more widely accessible. Visitors to the site are invited to provide feedback on any problems. |
