WHITLEY BAY U3A NOTICE BOARD Updated 12/08/2008
Apologies to Ann Wilson and Mary Grice, Co-opted members of the Committee, for interchanging their names in one or two places. Membership A waiting list was started for new members in January 2008. Due to fire regulations it is necessary to restrict the numbers attending General Meetings to 120. In view of the large number of attendees it is unfortunately necessary to restrict visitors to attendance to just 1 introductory meeting when space is available. They must then go onto the waiting list. Contact If you want to know more about the Whitley Bay U3A come to one of the General Meetings at the Cullercoats Methodist Church on the third Wednesday of the month at 2pm, announce yourself as a visitor and ask any one of the Committee Members in attendance for information. Bookworms 2 joined with Bookworms 1, Group Leader Ann Dixon Committee meetings Minutes of these meetings are now online from the Information page. Computer Software problems Frank Stansfield has expertise which may enable him to solve problems in the use of software and invites enquiries. Crafts. This group has disbanded. History. New members welcomed. Contact (Group Leader to be announced). Industrial visits. A Group has been formed for visits to local industries. The first visit was to the Theatre Royal, Newcastle on Wednesday 26th June. Twelve members attended. The next visit is to the Tyne Tunnel on Sunday 31st August.
